Long Overdue End of an Era - Tim Cook Hands the Apple CEO Reins to John Ternus

Whilst Tim's appointment as Apple CEO in 2011 made boardroom sense as a safe pair of hands, keeping him there for a decade plus has resulted in the least innovative period in Apple's history due to a common CFO -> CEO failure:

By endlessly reducing and avoiding risk, you inadvertently also avoid opportunity, particularly the transformative opportunities that require significant risk and made Apple the economic giant it was when he took the helm.

After 15 years of anti-consumer, penny-pinching competence from Tim Cook, I'm hoping we will turn a corner under John Ternus with a return to risk and innovation, from the company that has most embodied those values for the vast majority of its existence.
